Established in 1907, the Ouachita National Forest is the largest and oldest National Forest in the south. Over 1.8 million acres of west-central Arkansas and southeastern Oklahoma comprise the National Forest, with access granted from multiple locations in both states. More than 700 miles of trails, 7 scenic areas and 35 developed recreation areas provide ample room for relaxation, exploration and sightseeing.
